Baab ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Baab mobile application (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.

1.1 Information We Collect

• Account Information: Email address, username, and authentication tokens when you log in to your educational institute's portal.
• Student & Institute Data: Grades, attendance records, class schedules, invoices, and announcements synced from your institute's ERPNext server.
• Device Information: Device identifier (for push notifications).
• Local Storage Data: Synced data is stored locally on your device in an encrypted database to allow offline access.

1.2 How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
• To sync data between your device and your educational institute's ERPNext server.
• To send push notifications regarding grades, attendance, announcements, and fees.
• To allow offline access to your academic data.

1.3 Data Security and Storage

Baab is a multi-tenant application. Your data is securely isolated and directly associated with your specific educational institute. We do not share your data across different institutes. Authentication tokens are stored securely using the Android Keystore/iOS Keychain. Local database files are isolated per institute to ensure maximum data privacy.

2. Terms of Service

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement made between you and Baab, concerning your access to and use of the Service. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2.1 Description of Service

Baab is a multi-tenant mobile application designed to connect to your educational institute's ERPNext server. The Service syncs academic data, allowing students, parents, and staff to access institute portals from their mobile devices.

2.2 User Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes.
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

2.3 Third-Party Integration

The Service relies on the availability and accuracy of your educational institute's ERPNext server. We are not responsible for any downtime, data inaccuracies, or server failures originating from your institute's backend.

2.4 Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. You use the Service at your own risk.

3. Data Deletion Instructions

You have the right to request the deletion of your data at any time. Because Baab is a multi-tenant app that connects directly to your institute's server, data deletion happens in two places:

3.1 Local Data (On Your Device)

When you log out of an institute's workspace within the Baab app, all local data (students, grades, schedules, cache) associated with that institute is permanently deleted from your device immediately.

How to do this: Open the side menu -> Tap "Switch Institute" -> Tap "Logout of current".

3.2 Server Data (Your Institute's ERPNext Server)

Baab does not host your academic data on its own servers; it merely syncs it from your educational institute. To completely delete your account and academic records from the backend, you must contact your institute's administration directly.
